We evaluate documented hosting features, resource allocation, data-center locations, ease of use, security, backup, scalability, support options, refund policy, transparency, renewal conditions and suitability. Affiliate commission is not an editorial factor. When we do not test directly, we state that the analysis is based on official documentation and public information.
Start with the type of evidence
A directory record identifies a company and its service-category signals. A documentation-based profile cites product pages and policies. A hands-on test would require a stated test setup, date, workload and results. Do not interpret the first two as the third.
What our Marketplace score means
Our editorial display scale groups providers by imported popularity signals and a curated market-prominence flag. Popular providers receive 4.9–5.0, intermediate providers 4.2–4.8, and providers with lower visibility or limited data 3.7–4.1. These are Marketplace scores, not customer review averages or measured quality. Missing input data starts at the 3.7 baseline. The full thresholds and underlying index formula are public.
What to verify for the exact plan
Check supported software, resource allocation, data-center availability, maintenance ownership, backups and restore steps, support scope, renewal pricing, refund exclusions and data export. A company-level category does not prove a feature is included in every plan.
What the tools calculate
The Finder applies documented compatibility rules to your answers. The checker, cost calculator and comparator use entered or internally documented plan details. They do not scan a visitor’s website or verify a provider’s live capacity. Unknown inputs remain visible as unknown.
Updates and corrections
Content dates describe the recorded editorial update, not a promise that prices or availability are live. When a claim changes, the relevant page needs its source and scope checked. Send a precise URL and supporting evidence to the publisher.
